Location of Float Step

Anyone have the numbers for a ball park location of the step in relation to
the C of G? I have used "2 1/2" behind the most used or gross C of G" in
other installations. Nothing in the manual covers this that I can find. Do you
just cut and mount the front and rear struts, get about 3.5* of throat angle,
get the distance for the diagonal brace and go from there?
