[rebel-builders] Super Rebel brake parts needed
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:29 pm
Hi Fred,
You wouldn't mind passing on your thoughts and performance numbers for your Super Rebel for the benefit of the rest of the Group? There are so few Lycoming Super Rebels out there flying it would be interesting to know:
1) performance (climb, cruise, fuel burn, etc)?
2) Any service issues?
3) Any improvements you would make based on your first 70 hours?
Thanks, -Jason

Hello everyone:
N2500V has been flying since October with about 70 hours on
her now. The
flying has been great as the airplane exceeds my
expectations in every way.
Tried to make it to Oshkosh, but the weather here kept me
from flying. I am
having only a slight problem with squeaky brakes, and
nothing I've done to-
date has caused even the slightest change. So, I'm ready to
start changing
out parts.
I'd like to buy (2) SG-31 if any of you SR builders out
there happen to have
gone to another brake system and have a couple laying
around. The SG-31 is
the plate the caliper pins slide in and out of. The axle
sticks through the hole
in the center and it has a bolt hole at each of the 4
corners.
I don't know if it's different between the Trikes and
Taildraggers.
If you have 2, please contact me - fadarnell@bellsouth.net.
