Well guys, I guess you better stock a 90* tube on board when you go flying
...... cause when you blow that tube, good luck with the local guy helping
you out. Being experimental is fine (golf tires) but let common sense
prevail.

Just trying to give you guys a tid bit of useful information....... for
those who like to listen.

My 1 1/2 cents worth and worth dually noting coming from a reliable source.

readily available in this area.

I agree the 90 deg valve stems are not commonly used on GA aircraft, but
neither are Carlisle golf cart tires. I guess that is the 'experimental'
nature of our hobby.

WallyMart usually has the bent stem tubes for 600x6 tires and I wouldn't
hesitate to use those temporarily in an 800x6 tire. Yup I never leave
the planet without a spare tube anymore.

Jeff,

I think that was the whole point of my post, to find a source for the tubes
and carry spares on board. Many of us fly to places where finding a 'local
guy' to provide you with a tire tube is not realistic. He might be a
drainage or two away. It just makes sense to carry a spare of the type you
need whether it's straight stem or bent stem.

And so, if you need the 90 deg bent stem in 800x6 size I will refer you to
my original post for the source info... jeeez! Enough said.

My point was why continue to use a non-common tube, especially when the
alternative is simple.

My original post still stands for anyone who is interested on how to covert
from 90* stem to straight stem for the aluminum MAM wheels, just email me
off line.

No further retort is necessary, thanks Roger.
