[rebel-builders] Elevator defection angle

Hi Jay,

The MAM recommended setting for elevator is 25 deg up & down. My experience
and knowledge of the Murphy product is that an elevator setting of minimum
27 deg up is essential, but I would not go any further than 30 degree up.

I concur with Bob P. with his given information -- Hope Osh was good
experience for everyone. Maybe one day I'll attend again.

The original builder set the Elevator with 20 degree up and 30 degree down
(in reference to Horizontal stabilizer), I have since re-rigged to 27 Degree
up and 24 degree down, to get a better low speed control authority. Before
it was hard to stall the airplane and now it has becoming much more
sensitive to High AOA and stall.

What's the angle the factory suggested? I was told by an experience Rebel
pilot, it should be 30 degree up and 20 degree down, is that reference to
the Horizontal stabilizer? Can any one shines the light on me?

Jay Yau
