battery placement

Another question.Should the weight and balance be done to determine
where the battery should go.I'm ready to install the battery now but
have not recieved landing gear parts from MAM.Yes it looks a little
funny ,an almost complete aircraft sitting on a bench.The battery will
be in the back.Is there a location that seems to be universal(fore and
aft)?
