Nig,
I ordered my kit with the optional gear which included a pneumatic
2.80/2.50 tailwheel, which is about a 9" tire. The swivel assembly fits
on a steel tube probably the same as what you have. Looks quite good and
without having put it into service yet it seems like a better
arrangement than others I have seen.

While we're chatting about tailwheels, anyone changed the Elite tailwheel to
something else ? Mine is a solid 6" dia and since the spring is a tube on
the Elite it would need an adaptor of some sort unless I somehow changed the
wheel only and kept the rest of the fitting ?
My amphibs are still lying in Chilliwack half done, so it's looking like I'm
going to have to fly on wheels for a while when it's finished.
