[rebel-builders] Builders tip for cutting fuel tank stringer cutouts.+ Camp

Geese.
I must need some lessons on Dremel operation. I have two of them, and one of
those Roto-Zip tools used to cut the openings for electrical boxes in
sheetrock (works a whole lot better that trying to locate them by measuring
and then cutting with a jigsaw)
I tried using a carbide cutter to cut the slot, but I just did not have
enough control over the tool to make the cut where I wanted. Perhaps a
different style cutter is the trick.
But the rod saw worked very well.

But being one always ready to learn, I have to ask, what the He** is a slap
chop?

About the camping at Sun N Fun:
I did receive a reply from them. (I was surprised).
Here is my note to them:
I just discovered that you have a policy of charging campers for a full week
of camping even if they only stay two nights.

I planned to stay two nights.

I will not pay $100 for two nights of sleeping on the ground. I would have
paid up to $20 per night, but not $100. Sorry, but I am not attending this
year.

Here is the answer I got:
Tim: We have two types of camping, our regular RV or Aircraft camping which
you mentioned. We also have Overnight RV and Aircraft camping $25 per
night. These camping areas are in specific locations. Aircraft is located
near the VOR on the field, RV is located near the Camper Registration
building.

From their website, the above information was not clear. I guess I would
have paid $25 per night, but that door has closed. I will write her a note
thanking her for the reply, and suggesting that some wording added to the
web site would enhance understanding.

One last subject:

The IO-233 engine. I have a friend down there now, and on the phone I asked
him to go to the Lycoming tent and see what he could learn about the price
and delivery of the engine. He called last night and told me the following:

Lycoming will take orders at OSH 09. Not clear if they will sell direct, or
direct customers to their dealer base. (I would guess the latter)

I wanted to know if a return to tank was needed, and the answer I got was
no, not needed. (This is third party info, and this question is still a bit
open for me).

Delivery will be in "late 09". Price was stated to be "about the same as a
Rotax" And then something was said about "the high teens".

My friend said that the engine was not on display. Which I find curious.
