Fus-5 -- to split or not to split

The question of splitting Fus-5 or not came up recently. I not only forgot
who raised it, but at the time, forgot about a small factor in that
decision. That is, the floor channels need to be tied in via L shaped tabs
to the bulkheads, and for the forward most channels, that bulkhead is
really Fus-5. Connecting a channel or L-tab to the ] shape of a half Fus-5
is at minimum, a good head scratcher.

I had split my Fus-5 pieces, so needed a sol'n to the above. I ended up
making a piece that essentially looks like floor channel material, but fits
just inside the rear Fus-5, with the flat side facing backward (and flush
with the back side of my half Fus-5). This channel is held in by the floor
skin rivets -- both inside ones and outside of course. In essence, my half
Fus-5 is back to the cross sectional shape of a box, but the rear face of
it is .025. And, then it's simple to tie the L-tabs to that. Actually,
it's more like a pilates workout, but I figure this is good prep for when I
need to wire behind that dashboard!

One more thing is that I had already used floating nutplates for the
landing gear leg attach through Fus5, so it doesn't matter if the channel
covers that hole from the back. I may drill a clearance access hole anyway.
