LOL... with comments like that I sure hope you don't expect speedy service
when you need something firewall forward from them....

,,, as for the SR gear mount. Bob Johnson had a real nice "P Ponk" style
"double shear" bracket for the top bolt. Haven' t heard from Bob in a long
time here though...

The plane was designed for the load as it was, yes some things could have
been better but the end result is on a bad landing something has to give.
The gear box is fine with the standard upgrades. If you want to make it
better you need to look in a different area.. JMHO Dale SR-033 N269DF

As for MAM everyone had a chance to check them out before buying. Yes it
could be better but with the world economy the way it is everyone has to
have patitients. In my business here I don't stock near what I used to. I am
sure MAM will do everything they can to satisfy the customer base as they
have been in it quite a while. I know it has been a while but in the end I
was a satisfied customer. I am not taking sides,, it is one small company
trying to cope with major changes in the way things operate..

Dale,

Dont take the comments too seriously.

I am just venting some frustrations to some folks who I know understand.

You are right, we are lucky their doors are still open, it cant be easy.

Thanks for the advice.

Take a good hard look at the 2500 mount. Imagine a 1/8" steel plate on top
and on the bottom of the piece where the big bolt attaches. Now imagine how
you could put bolts between these plates and secure the entire assembly. I
recall that there is actually a 1/4" hole through the standard mount that I
used. This is the approach I took. I would send pictures, but the plane is
in storage.

(ldg

same design. I am looking for any input as to how some improvements should
go. I am gong to stay with the same basic design, but i want to engineer it
toward a moose that will be operating off-airport, with bushwheels, and an
M14P.

Any ideas if you were in my shoes?

Thanks
