Dick,

Thank you. That is an interesting way of doing it.

One thing I like about the wedge style seaplane door vs the flapper is the
added strength to the gearbox, door post area. I wonder what the smallest
dimension you could have on the wedge and still have it clear the strut? Did
you do any geometry before deciding what way to go?

What is the angle and length of the strut? Maybe ten i can figure it out,
roughly.

did not like the big wedge at the lower front, I don't think my size 15's
would clear easily so I came up with this idea. Boeing does the flapper
idea so I borrowed and modified to my needs.



If you want to try it I will send a few more photos and suggestions. Keep
in mind a project like this is a series of small systems not one big
overwhelming monster.
