Hi bob,The original Super Rebel was called the SR-2500 because the
gross weight was 2500 lb. - it seems reasonable now to call it the
SR-3500.
Thanks for your timely, thoughtful and informative response to "Periodic

As to the question of 2500 vs 3500. I could never figure out why MAM call
the plane a SR 2500 when it had a gross of 3000.
My vote would be to have the airplane reflect its gross
(rounded off if it applies)
If a SR 2500 builder installs the mods then he/she will get to call it a
SR 3500. If a builder leaves it a stock SR 2500 that's what it is called.
If the new kits come from the factory at 3500 then SR 3500 seems
appropriate.
