Wayne,
Do you know if the starter bump is needed with a Skytec starter?

With no prop spacer and the skytec with the end bearing'd case I'm pretty
sure you need part of the indent. I removed some of it on mine, in an arc,
to clear my 10" spinner in tight to the nose bowl.

If I get a minute I'll peak up inside mine to see if you really need the
bump. If you go with the cantilever style skytec.. you definitely don't need
the bump.

I think it's only needed with the lycoming boat anchor starter but the bump
won't be in the way. On my nosebowl I had a hole for the starter to stick
through that I glassed over.

Thanks guys. I have the one with an end bearing, but it sounds like I might still get away with no bump.
