[rebel-builders] Parts do not fit

Hi Roger
Hope you're all keeping well in Chicago ?
When I did mine they did fit OK but I seem to remember only one way. It
looks square but it isn't so I didn't need to file it down at all when I
figured it out (although it seems a lifetime ago now it was only a couple of
years ago !!) :-)

Instruction 9.23.9 says "Align the FUS-86 part inside the FUS-85
bracket, then mark and trim off the end of FUS-85 as shown." The
problem is that the FUS-86 is 1-inch thick, and the inside width of
FUS-85 is 15/16 inch. FUS-86 does not fit inside FUS-85. Should I
machine 1/32 inch off each side of the FUS-86?

Hi Nigel,
Things are good here, except for the interesting politics.
Were you able to get the diesel engine that you wanted?
All of my FUS-86s are 1-inch, square. All of my FUS-85s are 15/16-
inch inside width, so the FUS-86s don't fit inside the FUS-85s.

Hi Roger
That's not a problem I had so I can't help I'm afraid. I'd be a bit cautious
about filing it down as it carries all the engine mount forces so suggest
you try an email to MAM and see what they recommend. It was a very flush fit
on mine but it did fit !
Still waiting and hoping for my diesel :-)
Nig
