CC100 sleeve INSIDE the cockpit? Rebel Question

Post by hibbs » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:27 pm

Thank Wayne, I am cutting the sleeves and it does take some work to cut
them straight. Any idea why they suggest 2 sets on each inboard end (1"
+ 1/2" vs 1 1/2")? Since it is difficult to cut, I'd just as soon cut
only 1 unit 1 1/2" long.

I don't see any reason not to cut just ONE sleeve, to fill the exact
distance you need. They are suggesting 1" plus 1/2" in your version of the
manual, as I believe these are the sleeve widths they are supplying precut.
The old way (as it sounds you have) was to supply a length of 2" I.D. tube
and you cut each sleeve at the required width.

Are you one of the builders that is working from an "updated" manual and not
the one that came with your kit?????? If so, you may be adding some
confusion to the "game"!
