[rebel-builders] Rebel Amphib Height/ Now cowl change
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:03 pm
Hi all,
I've been delaying this post but with all the cowl talk I have to mention
that Dave Fife has developed a fiberglass add on change for the bottom of the
speed cowl. It gives you the option of carrying the bottom of the cowl up
to 3" aft of the firewall and now actually cleans up the bottom of the cowl
along with a much larger exit.
We installed one on an 0-320 powered Rebel nearby who was really suffering
with oil temp problems and minor cylinder temp problems.
Part of the delay on the post was real numbers. Unfortunately Ren is not
real good with that. All I have gotten "it's better". I'll attach some pic's
in the next post. I plan on installing mine this winter so I should have
better #'s in the spring.
