Hi Walter
What's the scoop on the decal? This is the first that I have heard about it. Always purchased it from them while clearing customs. Planning to attend Osh this year. Bummer....

Yes, that's the way I did it in the past, but now they say you must have applied for it in advance. Here is the site. Go to the link where it says online application.

Can't see it says that it is required before hand unless I missed it. U could always get it thru the mail if u wanted to go that route.

Maybe the rules are different elsewhere.

Thanks Walter
I'll be calling the border office where we usually clear just in case. I searched the site and can't see where the requirement is for the "ahead of time purchase" but I'm over 50! I think it might have been a request by the local border people to the organizers at Arlington to save some time with the amount of aircraft flying in and declaring right at the field. Take care

Alternatively, file your cross border flight plan into Bellingham (quick
hop), pay for your decal and then carry-on down to Arlington casually
without flight plan hassles. Double check with Bellingham Customs, that they
still issue decals on the spot. Phone number is 360-734-5463.

I generally use Bellingham to return to Washington State. They are usually
friendly and efficient. Now they, and most US airports of entry, have Geiger
counters to make triple sure that our borders are safe. Make sure you have a
current passport.

Border procedures have been changing, so check with Bellingham to see what
they feel makes us safe today.
