Arlington?

Just wondering who is going to Arlington this year? I believe the get together at Dick's hangar again is on Sat afternoon. I plan to be there on Sat, and possibly staying over to Sunday. The border crossing is a bit more hassle this year, as they now require advance ordering of the decal, and advance notification to Arlington. Previously, they just let you fly in with a flight plan and transponder code and then get everything there at Customs when you land.

Then am heading out to Manitoba leaving Langley probably on July 16, for a week or more. Have to be back home by the 28th.

That should get a few hours on my new engine. It's running well. The trips will give me a chance to gather a few more stats on performance and fuel usage, too. So far, besides the extra performance, I've noticed that this engine (O360) is also more fuel efficient. I think this is due primarily to the EI and the Superior clone sump design which is supposed to give you more even fuel distribution to each cylinder.

Anyway, hope to see some of you again soon.

Walter

Hi Walter
I've been wondering how things are settling in with your new engine. The
early reports of fuel use were a little crazy sounding. But I guess you're
saying now that you are actually burning less than with the previous
carbureted Lyc 0-320? By sump design are you referring to cold induction?
Good to hear ...enjoy your vacation,
-Ben
