Hello Clay:

Was following your post of June 4, 2008 below. Haven't seen any response to
the group so far. Have you received any answers to your question privately? If
so, would you care to share the information privately?

Then again, maybe I missed something as I have been having email problems
lately.

Good luck on the float project!

Hey Guys,
My floats are just about done and I'm working now on the spreader bars and
attach struts. I was told by another builder that the strut lengths given in
the manual which is 37 1/2 for rear and 39 1/2 for front are wrong ...
Anybody else notice this?
Thanks for any help.

Clay

[rebel-builders] Amphib float strut lengths

I was out to my hangar today, so I measured my float strut lengths. The
front ones are 38, while the rear are 37 1/4. Can't remember exactly how I
came up with those lengths. But what is real important is your float angle.
Mine is set to 2.5 degrees, but people have used between 2 and 3.5. So it is
good to leave a couple holes adjustment at your strut end fittings in case
you want to change yours.
