Want to add .. There is a very real market for "almost done kits". If you can find a trashed same model airplane, that good deal "almost done" airplane can provide a path for that certified "data plate" to fly once again ... Bob 612e

Yep ... You've got the picture ... not a pretty one for some. If you do purchase a Murphy kit (or any other type kit) from someone other then Murphy, get a receipt that says the kit is still in the box. That will help. Buying one that has completed its flight tesst phase ... is easy ... Just transfer the ownership, and find an AP to work with once a year ... and fly it. Cheers, Bob 612e

The SR community is amazing with all the support I have gotten. This website
and all thoughs that run, support and spend time helping a newbee like be is
greatly appreiciated. Thanks for the heads up on the 51 percent rule. He
basicly has a worthless airplane until it is fininshed would you agree.
I'm still interested in finding a completed flying SR or a kit that is less than 51
percent. perferabley looking for a kit if anyone can help????????

myself, I can assure you one or more TA logged visits, although being a good
indicator on the quality of construction to date, has no bearing on the 51
percent cert requirement. Bob 612e

FAA
