[rebel-builders] Paint overspray

Hi Gary !

LP Aero, the folks who make windshields, make a great cleaner
- Acrylic Cleaner & Polish - THE best windshield cleaner I've found !
Just wipe it on, rub a bit, & let dry to a haze - wipes off very easily,
and leaves a protective film. It has just enough solvent to dissolve
bugs - and small bits of paint overspray ...

They do make another cleaner that is a bit more abrasive - can't
remember the name, but you won't likely need it anyway ...

barely (maybe a tad more than just barely) of the outside. One can take a
fingernail and scrape the windshield in a small area and get most of it

on windshields and other surfaces off.

I am sure that there is a need for this answer. In fact I might need it as
I Am in the process of painting Rebel 242 at the current time.

Appreciate any and all replies.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Bob
Thanks for the information. However, I see the two items on LPAero's
web site that you mention. They are:

"210" Plastic Cleaner and Polish
For those who prefer an anti-fog, anti-static windshield and plastic cleaner
in an aerosol spray. 14 oz. Spray Can SP-210A $8.93/bottle

This is the one for scratches that you mentioned
"210 Plus" Plastic Scratch Remover
A fine liquid abrasive for removing fine scratches that ordinary
cleaner/polishes can't handle. 15 oz. Squeeze Bottle SP-210P $9.99/bottle

I am buying the first item. Thanks. My friend will be pleased.

[rebel-builders] Paint overspray

That should work, Gary .....

The cleaner I use is a white cream - SP-PL16, as shown at
the top of the page:
http://www.lpaero.com/accessories.html

It lasts a looong time - I get a year out of a bottle usually !
I suspect it might work a bit better than the spray, because it's
thicker ... does a great job with bugs. Those Sontara wipes
are great too - but I usually just use the blue paper shop towels...

They also sell the PolyUrethane sealant - Bostick 1100 - that
they recommend for windshield installations. Works in a
regular caulking gun...

A bit further down the page is "polysulfide sealants" !!!
I didn't know that LP also sold Pro-Seal !! (That's what these are ...)
.... and the 'adhesion promoter' to use on cured Pro-Seal when
you want to add another coat.

The bad news is - LP usually only sells to distributors and
OEM manufacturers..... although they DO retail products at
their booths at Oshkosh & Sun 'n Fun ... and maybe a bit at
other times ... They can certainly tell you somebody nearby
where you CAN buy.
