I did.
They came out of Cessna gas caps per an AD note in the 80's. It is
intended to be a back-up to the vent line that hangs down at the lift
strut on most singles. In the 4 photos I posted you will see an
additional 1/4" line which ends very near to the mushroom vent in the
view of inside the tank.
