That sounds great. We have a photo of your plane on our site; you probably
knew that. I'd put a larger one on if I had one. Hint Hint. The one I
used came from MAM's site and it was already very small.

As far as our trip, it'll be late July or early August. I'll advise as soon

Craig, I couldn't remember your site so I looked it up, and went to it. I
assume it is the Alaskan Rebel site. However, I didn't post the link to it
here, because it tried to infect me with a Trojan virus. Fortunately, my
virus checker and Windows security updates are up to date, and caught it.
But you should get it cleaned ASAP.

I don't know what this virus does, but it is called JS/Exploit-BO.gen.

Whoops! I apologize for the virus. Dale I didn't get your email about
this. You two are the only ones that have experienced this. I'm looking
into it today. Obviously I'm on the site regularly and I have pretty good
virus protection. The site is one of the online ones that host for you and
you place the content.

Where were you on my site when you noticed the virus? Was it the wing
section? If so, it's a recent addition and a separate "photo gallery type"
application. If not. It's on the site itself. I'll figure it out and let

Well fellas,

I got on the phone with my host co. (IXwebhosting.com) and they scanned the
site and were unable to find any virus. I have scanned the site files using
my Mcafee and found nothing. Is it possible you picked it up from another
site or in passing somewhere as you went to the site? As I said earlier,
you're the only two people who have experienced this and the site has 700
visits. Maybe you could try it again and see what happens.

Walter, I'd like to get your info so we could possibly meet when we travel
in July. (If you're not afraid I'll infect you, that is. lol) Sorry again,

Just tried again, and it is still there. It happens as soon as I go to the
site.

It's not just the Dat files that need to be up to date, but also your virus
engine. Older versions of McAfee may not be catching this one. Also, need to
have the right settings so it scans everything.

I use a corporate version of McAfee called VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i. The
engine is 5200.2160. It is not the very latest, but still pretty good. What
is yours?

It may also be your hosting site (not just your home specific page). Some of
those guys are pretty poor on their information security.

Also, are you current with all of the Windows security updates?

Well, I am stumped. My McAfee is up to date; it's using the same engine
yours is. It's not a corporate version but still...

Most of that means nothing to me but I thought you could compare it to
yours.
While I was on the phone with my hosting company, they ran a scan of my
files and other info and found nothing. I'm at a loss...

Thanks so much for the offer. If I had known this prior to signing up with
them I would have. As it is, I've got a prepaid yr commitment.
I spoke with them this morning and they scanned the site and assured me it
was virus free. I'm not sure what's happening. I will talk to them again
and give them the name of the virus. This is not what I had planned.

Craig, here is the McAfee description of this Trojan virus.

It happens as soon as you go to your home page. So it may not be on your
home page at all, but somewhere else on the hosting site.

Thanks so much for the offer. If I had known this prior to signing up with
them I would have. As it is, I've got a prepaid yr commitment.
I spoke with them this morning and they scanned the site and assured me it
was virus free. I'm not sure what's happening. I will talk to them again
and give them the name of the virus. This is not what I had planned.
Come see my site and get infected!

Well, I found where the dang virus is/was. Tonight when I went onto the
site to add more photos my virus alarm went off when I entered the
Coppermine Photo Gallery. This is a add-on service that my host provides.
When I went back later I didn't get an alert but I'm still going to call
them tomorrow and chase it down. I'm glad you guys pointed this out to me.
I wonder how many others had the same thing happen and just didn't say
anything. Craig

We have planned our trip and we will arrive in Vancouver August 4th at 5 pm
and leave August 7th at 6 pm. We're staying at a Best Western in Chiliwack.
