With the price of fuel these days I'm more likely to turn my rebel into a glider.
The DC-3 does look pretty good for a 64 year old bird, but when you get in close you can sure see it's age. It is well maintained though.

It's a Basler Turbo DC-3, in casecamping trip, and then pick them upam a Smokejumper pilot for the US Forest Service based in Ogden Utah and
covering Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico. Basically we drop
jumpers and cargo into remote mountainous areas so they can have a nicehttp://www.windowslive.com/messenger/co ... deo_042008at back-country airstrips. Sounds like fun eh?
