For last weeks trip from Toronto to Florida, I noticed
100LL ranging from US$4.19/gal to at least $5.50
Pumping your own was as much as a dollar cheaper than truck service.
Premium mogas averaged about US$3.55 /gal
West of Toronto (Canada) premium mogas is running equivalent to
US$4.85/gal. All numbers based on the US gallon so multiply by 1.2 for
Imperial gallons or divide by 3.78 for liters.
Washington Court House OH said he could no longer get mogas without
alcohol. Another operator suggested it was in fact available to him as
long as he purchased premium. Not all airport mogas is premium but it
really should be for many engines if you work the octane numbers.
Note that lobbyists with EAA's assistance have 6 states (including WI,
WA, MT, ID, HI) that apparently mandate no alcohol in Premium mogas for
compatibility with older engines, farm engines, boats, etc.

I've purchased premium in several additional states without alcohol even
though the pump said up to 10%, or was not labeled, or had local average
alcohol content requirements. Several states and provinces do not have
any requirement to mark the pumps at all. Premium seems less likely to
have alcohol in it, compared to regular grade, in North America. I guess
my point is - test it - many more places have alcohol free premium than
people think. Better for most engines and also for the environment.
As for jet fuel and diesel, the movement to tax fuel based on carbon and
energy content is what makes it more expensive than gasoline in many
areas. It is almost always still cheaper than gas per BTU though.
