Hi Jim I really miss ski flying. I looked at modifying my skis to fit the
wider wheels but it just won't work without new axles so I think I'm going
to start from scratch again. Maybe next winter :( Around here you can land
on the infeild at centralia. A mile and a quarter east is Esserys grass
strip that lots of ski flyers use to taxi right up to the malibu resurant.
Reeces corners near sarnia has a nice resturant on a grass strip and you
can land beside the runway at Hanover. Wayne's RAA chapter has a fly in to
one of the lakes near penatang. I've always wanted to go to that but never
had the perfect weather I want before flying that far in winter.

DrewWell I went ski flying yesterday for the first time and I must say - what a
lot of fun. I obviously still have a lot to learn but all and all it when
pretty well. I built straight skis for now so I'm now looking for places to
fly in Southern Ontario that have a snow covered place to land - say beside
an existing runway. If you have any suggestions and there might be lunch
involved please let me know.
Of course it's calling for rain on Tuesday!!!!
I hear Tom is out practicing today as well!!!!
