Scotchbrite & Pro-Seal

I'm nearing my first use of Pro-Seal and was wondering what type (grit?) of
Scotchbrite pads to buy. Also is this the same Scotchbrite pads I see in the
hardware stores, or should I buy it from ASS or Wicks?

Thanks for the help.

Roger,

I have found that Scotch Brite *TM pad #7440 works great for cleaning up the
mating surfaces for Proseal in the tank area. These are most economical to
buy in boxes of 10 - 6" x 9" pads from most industrial supply houses or
possibly your local "super" store. Cut them into strips about an 1 1/2" wide
by 3" long. I use this same pad for preparing skins prior to corrosion
proofing between mating parts also! When doing the Proseal areas, make sure
you "rub" in two directions, 90 degrees to each other, to give a nice cross
hatch for the Proseal to adhere to.

Blue skies,
Wayne
