I can't think of any reason it would matter which way the stringers
pointed. Hope they are on the interior side of the skin though...

hello list !

Another error in a series of so many, and I can't blame the manual...
I just noticed that my stringers on the bottom wing are either on the outside ;-( or facing in the wrong direction. I assume that external stringers are not an option, but what about the orientation ? Does it matter it these two stringers face forward with their open end? I really hope it doesn't !
I didn't find anything in the archives about it, maybe someone out there knows how important the orientation is.

Thank you Wayne for the tip with the file for deburring the stringers, that saved me a lot of time!

BTW, I use plastic containers we normally used for submitting cattle brain samples to the state-lab for "mad cow disease testing" for my epoxy primer ....who can beat this :-))

thanks
Dieter

Hi Dieter I don't think it matters either but if you used that skin for
your second wing they'd be facing the right way.

Don't think you can swap sides as the rivet spacing is different on the
inboard and outboard ends of the skin.

Opps My bad For some reason I was thinking that the rivet spacing was only
different on the leading edge skin.
