[rebel-builders] seat stop pins

Hi Jason: Definitely a drill press job to drill the pins. I recall using
nitride coated (gold color) drill of 1/16 dia. to start using a good cutting
fluid or paste backing off the drill frequently to clear the chips. Pins
should be in a vee block of sorts to prevent rolling. As far as the proper
size for the lock pins, I think it was .062 but you should Micrometer the
pins to check. These are split spring pins so the hole will be slightly
smaller then the diameter of the actual pin. I have done 3 sets of seats
this way with no problems. - Good luck. Bob J

Folks,

I am trying to figure out how to drill centered holes
in the steel seat stop pins to install the spring
retainer and the lift ring for the seat release lever?
(sorry, I don't have my manual with all the part nos)
The steel is fairly hard and I am not sure my bits
will do the job. I was also wondering if anyone knows
the hole size for a nice tight fit for the pins that
retain the springs?

Thanks, -Jason
