I wanted to give the group an update on 305R / C-FNBO.

The plane is complete, signed off and sitting comfortably in the hanger at
Sexsmith Airport near Exeter Ontario. Everything works and taxi is fine.
Unfortunately, winter started early and the first flight has not yet
happened. Sexsmith is a seasonal airport and that means snow on the runway
only goes away naturally.

Here are some stats and specs. If you have any questions please e-mail me
directly. I read my digest e-mails in blocks of 10 to 20 at a time and you
would not get a timely response. There is a picture on Mike's website.

C-FNBO
- Firewall was moved back 3"
- "Ontario" mods completed (see website)
- Lycoming O-320 E3D, 150 HP, zero timed
- MAM speed cowl
- Prince carbon fibre P-Tip prop, 74" X 47"
- wheels, brakes and tail-wheel as provided in the kit
- Wayne's compression spring landing gear struts
- Gord Mohr's main landing gear bushing kit
- Forsling stainless steel exhaust
- remote oil filter
- Vans baffle kit
- Vans 13" spinner
- basic steam gauges - no vacuum system
- Odyssey battery
- Nav / Strobe kit
- Valcom and intercom
- Fuel capacity 139 litres
- Empty weight 955 pounds
- Gross weight 1,800 pounds

As usual there are many people to thank, not the least of which is this
group. At the risk of missing someone: Bob Patterson, Drew Dalgleish,
Wayne O'Shea, Angus McKenzie, Sexsmith pilots & builders, and local
service companies (Ron Riley, Glen's Terryair, Norm Patterson, Nautikell
Interiors). I would also like to thank MAM for support in the early years.
Unfortunately none of those folks are there anymore.

Mike Ash

Congrats Mike !

Looking good - should be exciting to fly !! Too bad about
the weather - after last year, who would have guessed ??!!!

Keep your fingers crossed - there's always a "January thaw" ...

In any case, you can look forward to a GREAT 2008 !!!
The Rebel Ramble to Quebec City is July 12th - 19th ..... ;-)
