If it's the forslington unit... exhaust stubs have male/female pin to secure
each one......ball joint tail pipes... it should have come with two heat
shrouds for cabin and a small one for carb.

Yes, that's the style. The manufacturer though is Aircraft Exhaust from
Princeton, MN.

Maybe Forslington put a company name to his product ...or maybe MAM found
another source. Guess you'll have to wait 'til Monday to find out if shrouds
are now an option. Wouldn't think so for a company in CANADA that has to
shovel their roof !

Aircraft Exhaust is a company all on it's own.. It was bought out last year
by another party (but still run under the same name) and I had bad feelings
of them when I was checking as to having heat muffs added to my exhaust.. So
I went with the outfit in California.. very nice to work with and did nice
work addin the heat muff for me ... I fabricated the exhaust one piece
stainless on each side after the ball joint at rear of engine. The company
in MN makes an exhaust system for the Rebel with straight pipes no muffs of
any sort is or was listed on their web site... Dale SR=033

Hi Dale
Aircraft Exhaust Technologies make a system with two mufflers. I did purchase the system before they changed owners. I dealt with Chris who was the previous owners. He assured me that any thnig manufactured now used all his jigs/parts etc that he sold with the company and that the people involved with the manufacturing were some of the same employees. They had only done one or two systems for the Rebels and was for the high speed cowls. I used a standard bowl and four door assembly and the angles of the collector pipes on both side didn't angle down straight enough for me. I marked the ball joint where I wanted the pipes to angle and sent them back. Both were modified with excellent work at no cost or shipping. My system has two cabin entries one off each muff. Made a small shroud on one of the xover pipes for the carb heat. Was flying yesterday at -12*C and was toasty warm with sweat shirt, jeans and long johns and sneakers. Not to mention the low noise level of the exhaust. Very p

I don't know Walter I asked twice for a price on a new exhaust for my plane
and never got a reply. I was starting to wonder if they were still in
bussiness myself.

It was Custom Aircraft out of California www.customaircraft.com for myself
very nice to deal with.. They make stock type exhaust and will work with the
builder to make custom exhaust. It is usually good to check all options when
getting work of this type done...JMHODale

hi ken i was at the apt today and saw the kids playing on the side of the
walkway-- some of the the snow was on the walkway

ken---don`t worry about it when it snows and then stops, clean it up
at that time don`t touch it until then if anyone asks, tell them -I said
that it is the mothers their responsibility to clean up their snow -- but I
don`t think they will say anything.
