Fuel flow sensors

Yes, that one should work although it is expensive. I had a look at the
FT-90 specs and it looks identical to the Floscan 231, including the
picture. I wonder if it is just their name brand for the same device. The
231 can be had for about 100 bucks. But to be safe, you should probably go
with what your instrument manufacturer recommends.

I am a big proponent though, as you probably know, about using a fuel flow
gauge. Between that and my 4 EGTs, they have paid their way in fuel savings.
Plus it gives me that extra piece of mind with fuel planning when on XC
trips. And it is another indicator about the health of my engine and
systems. For example, last year, when one of my mags needed servicing, it
was showing increasing fuel consumption while my engine still ran perfectly
otherwise.

Advanced Flight Systems (AFS), whose EFIS/EMS I am using, strongly
prefers the fuel pressure transducers offered by EI (http://buy-ei.com).
I have the low pressure FT-90 model.

Ron, you mentioned you have a flow transducer. Which one do you have?
Gauges
often come with the Floscan model 201, which is OK if you have a fuel
pump.
But if you are gravity feed to a carb, you should use the model 231, as it
has a much lower flow resistance.
