I've had the same problem here in the midwest of the USA. So it's not you or
you're ISP.

Hi Folks

I have tried for the last couple of days to access the MAM site and have
been met with the message "does not have a DNS entry". Is it my ISP
(firewall?) or is the site down?

The rivets part is why I want to go there, to find the details of the
bad rivet issue to quote them in my communication.

Has any one contacted MAM yet about replacement rivets? What was the
response? How is the replacement handled, exchange of rivets or does
MAM just send them out?

Thanks

Dave R.

MAM Web Site & Rivets

David,

After reading your message I tried to access the Murphy site was given
the message that the site was not available.

I read their communication on rivets and felt it was a little vague.
They acknowledge a problem can exist but did not go so far as to say they
were replacing everything they have shipped. I believe the message was
to contact the factory for further information. I have a little while
before I am ready so I have not contacted them yet to find out how they
are handling the situation.

MAM Web Site & Rivets

Post by David A. Ricker » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:56 pm

Thanks Terry & others for your follow ups, looks like MAM's site is down, perhaps for
upgrading........

On the rivets, I too thought the statement on the MAM site was somewhat vague. Now I can
see what MAM has in mind (replacing those that don't show, about Qty. 10k) and it gives
me some concerns.

My EAA Tech. Counsellor has called the rivets because they don't pull consistently and
sometimes look malformed on the barrel end after pulling so I am still concerned that I
will have trouble with this on the inspections. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am
not sure I want to go into all the details with our AIR-ABA (also a chapter member)
without doing my homework.

Thanks

Dave R.
