If my memory is correct doesn't the Elite have metal flaps and ailerons?
If so, how are they balanced?

The flaps and ailerons of the Elite are indeed all metal. The ailerons
are ballanced with lead weights in the leading edge of the spade at the
outboard end of the ail.
