[rebel-builders] exhaust choices?

Post by Walter Klatt » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:01 pm

I just ordered my new one from MAM for the 360. I think it is from Forsling,
but could be wrong. Anyway, it is SS crossover and has the multiple flex
joints for better support and to resist cracking. I have seen quite a few of
them on Rebels and Elites. No muffler, though. But no problem for me with
headsets. Just got a new dog (puppy now) so will have to try some earplugs
with him. The last one was near deaf in the end, so he didn't care.

Just finished my annual inspection and after only 415hrs. it's about time
to condem my homebrew exhaust. What's the favorite choice for exhausts now?
Ideally I'd buy a powerflow 4 into 1 tuned system but $3500 is too rich for
me. I would like to get a muffler on whatever I choose.

[rebel-builders] exhaust choices?

Yeah I have headsets too but I know my cockpit could be quieter and I don't
want everyone at the lake hating me if I decide to go fishing early in the
morning.

check out these for your puppy

[rebel-builders] exhaust choices?

My thoughts exactly Drew ! Leah says my water take offs are quieter than the
O-235 powered Supercub that shares the same water runway as I do in
Temagami. The noisiest thing on my airplane apparently is my venture
whistling on taxi and take off. It gets every dog in the Provincial park
barking..

[rebel-builders] exhaust choices?

Try www.aircraftexhaust.net. They have a double muffler system and is very quiet for 1,100. at the time I got it. Understand that the company has changed owners sence I purchased my system. Put a cabin heater off each muffler and placed a heater inlet on the xover for the carb heat. Lots of heat and don't even need head set in the cabin.

Thanks for all the information guys. I feel much better knowing what others
have done rather than just clicking on the buy it now button on some
website.
