I had a hard time getting through to them as well. Finally got an E-mail back saying they are a little short staffed right now. I also heard that they were reorganizing the factory and a lot of people were tied up with that and not answering phones or E-mail

This is day 4 now I just tried both sale and general info, and parts! all I get is pre-recorded messages. I have left 4 days of phone calls there and not one reply?? Yes I did see the holiday on Monday.
Is Murphy having money problems?
Thanks

Hi Dave !

Many large companies now rely on voice mail systems.
Get used to it !! If you want the most reliable way to order
parts, send an email to : shipping@murphyair.com
An email can be printed, and is likely to be much more
accurate than a verbal description.... They will call
or email back if there are any questions !

Murphy is re-organizing to improve production and
service. Much as the staff enjoy chatting with you about
your project & progress, they found it was taking up so
much of their day that they were falling behind on serving
all the other builders ..... So - they now have a voice-mail
system - like many other companies. It means you have to
boil your request down to a few sentences, and wait for a
call or email back..... OR - send an email to start with !

Just because you can't get to talk to someone the
minute you want to is no reason to start rumours !

<down off soap box >

OK - I'll take my meds now........ :-) ;-)

I talked to them yesterday too, to check on parts. I didn't get through the
first time either, and had to wait for a call back, but that is nothing out
of the ordinary. I think they are just a little busy these days.

Unfortunately, I have had this very same experience when trying to order
parts from Murphy. Repeated calls and emails requesting information and
pricing on parts and no response to either. This was before Murphy's new
customer service program "Let voice-mail get it". While voice-mail serves an
important purpose in business, it is not a customer service program.

All told, last January it took Murphy 5 weeks to get me a quote on parts for
my Rebel and just last month it took 4 phone calls and two emails to get a
quote on replacement gear saddles for my spring gear. And don't even get
me started on the price of said parts.
