I found the article on the link below from another site. It was written
for RV's so it may not be applicable for Murphy designs but may be worth
reading for those contemplating larger engines. Good information IMHO.

Go to www.vansaircraft.com then click on Information on specific models,
then RV-9/9A, then Specifications and then "Why Can't I use a Larger
