[rebel-builders] rudder hinges

Hi Jason !
The Rebel builders have been using "pogs" for this purpose
for years - they are large nylon washers with a split on 1 side
of the hole, so you can slide them off without removing the
bolt. I think Wayne still sells them ....
These are used on the elevator & aileron ends, as well -
wherever you are worried about contact & wear ...

Folks,
I mated my rudder to my fin last night on my Super
rebel for the first time. All fits well and I have
temporarily installed the 1/4" bolts. It seems over
time the rudder hinges rubbing against the fin hinges
will cause wear? I am specifically referring to the
horizontal hinge surfaces wearing against each other,
not wear of the bolt holes.
What have others done here? Grease? Installed delrin,
nylon, or AN flat washers as a bearing? Any advice
would be appreciated.
Kind regards, -Jason
