murphy-rebel Digest for 10 Jun 2000

Just left it open. Did not consider a doubler as this looks like a
relatively unstressed area. Do debur carefully however. The hole is out
of any windflow which would blow trash inside and there are other openings
around the plane that are not secured. I did consider a plastic hole plug
(see your home supply or hadware store) if I do decide to plug against mice
or the mud dauber wasps we are blessed with here in the South.

Mr. Baker,

checking. "
What covers the hole? and did you put a doubler behind it or no?
Thanks for your help.

Brian,
Maybe you'll get a chance to exercise your trim servo if you can
come on the Ramble !! ;-)
We certainly will have a LOT of camping gear & 'stuff' for this
one !! But, you're right - even with that load, it only takes a couple
of taps on the trim button, and then we leave it alone ... Isn't this
GREAT ??!! (not at all like a CessPool) :-)

Nobody has had a problem yet with the trim tab servo because it goes so
flightwithout use. I know I am just kidding you, but seriously, in most
been ofsituations with just varying fuel loads and passengers, the trim has
lotlittle value. As Wayne points out, with a great deal of baggage i.e. a
yet.of weight aft, it may come more into play. I have not experienced this

Roger,
Most builders here have decided to add inspection covers later,
IF and WHEN they are needed. The trim tab servo is usually mounted on
a separate plate, so it can be removed easily, if needed. (nobody has
had a problem yet ...)
