[rebel-builders] Stall Warning

I don't have one installed Steve. The stall is very benign--as long as you
keep the ball reasonably centered it just mushes--no dramatic wing drop or
such.

Has anyone install a stall warning in their Moose or Rebel? ? ?? ?

Is one needed?? ?? ??

If you installed one, what type?? ??

Looking back in the arcrives could not find much on the subject.

Thanks for you input.

[rebel-builders] Stall Warning

Hi Steve: As far as the Rebel goes, the stall is such a non-event and at a
very low airspeed, a warning system is not required. You would really have
to be asleep to let it happen un-noticed. I think the Moose is the same way,
but I am sure a Moose pilot will comment here soon. That is what is so nice
about the Murphy aircraft - terrific flying characteristics. Bob J

[rebel-builders] Stall Warning

G'day from OZ, Steve !

I'm going with Ted & Rob ..... forget the stall warning !

(I made & calibrated my own - and although it worked 100% OK .... I never really used it - so OFF it came :o)

Get yourself up HIGH & do lots of practise & learn to FEEL the plane as it approaches the stall ....... you'll find it just gets a "mushy feeling" & starts to get a high sink rate ...... just drop the nose a tad , or feed in a TOUCH of power & all is back to normal ! :o)

[rebel-builders] Stall Warning

Thanks for the input. We're going to save some time and $$$ and NOT install a "stall warning" system into our Moose.
Trying to stop putting in all these extra's and get the thing finished so we can go flying.

Thanks again
