Moose H-stab

I have not been to the murphyair.com web site in a while, so thought I'd
check the tech support area to see if there was anything new. Well that
just showed me how long it had really been as there were a number of manual
updates from early to mid 2006 that I hadn't looked at. I started out by
looking at the horizontal stab update. The link indicated that there were
two figures changed.

Now I'm done with my stab, but thought I'd take a look just to see what has
changed. A number of things apparently... but what really got my attention
is that they show all the rivets in the leading edge ribs as flush, with the
ribs and skins dimpled. It looks like the skin is now three pieces too,
which sure would be a lot easier to handle that the huge one piece skin I
had.

But what I was wondering is why are all the leading edge rivets dimpled?
When I built mine only the end ribs were flush, so the fiberglass tips would
sit nicely. I didn't flush rivet any of the rest of them... except a few in
the middle where the fuse fairing will go.

It's nice that it looks like Murphy is finally putting together a Moose
manual though... these updates were not Super Rebel manuals, they were
specifically for the Moose.
