I am sorry to dissappoint the ones looking for me. I decided I wasn't going
to hurry this thing , the prop took longer to overhaul then anticipated so I
didn't take off the week of work to finish it like I was going to do... Then
after some test I didn't feel the .020 material on the 4 door cowl was stiff
enough (my feeling is with the six cylinder being longer ) the longer spans
needed heavier material. I have an appointment at the paint shop was also
going to wait to do that but if I put it off I won't want to quit flying it
to paint it later. I am glad Wayne suggested the 4 door cowl rather then the
2 piece, very nice to put the baffling in and work on the engine this way
and less expensive also( anyone using a lycoming engine I would recommend
going like this).
I don't know when your next meeting is but I may have the time
flown off till then and make it up your way Bob. It is definately different
bird now then I envisioned when I started... Dale SR-033 N269DF
