[rebel-builders] Aileron Slide Block Position

Post by Dale Fultz » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:12 pm

Mike if I am understanding what you are asking. The slider block goes
even with the bulkhead or flush with ends of channels as channel ends were
to be flush with the bulkhead that the aluminum plate is fastened to on each
end (or another way of saying 3/4 of an inch in from the end of the plate at
the rear). Clear as mud I know.. If you need more info let me know will be
here waiting on prop to be delivered.. So I can hopefully make Oshkosh..

[rebel-builders] Aileron Slide Block Position

Post by Mike Kimball » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:12 pm

To make matters even more muddy, my slideblock is mounted backwards from the
MAM planned orientation. The attachment points on the slide block face
forward to attach to my servo instead of towards the rear to attach to the
flap mechanism. Maybe it would be better to measure from the forward face
of the channels to the pivot point on the aileron horn attached to the slide
block. Of course, that's assuming everybody mounts their channels in the
same spot. I think the manual calls out where they should go so we should
all be mounted pretty close to the same spot.
