G'day Dave !

Doesn't REALLY matter which way the witches hats go ......

Just make sure you put in Wayne's 3 doubling plates (take a look at his web site) they are a MUST HAVE !!!

I also ran several other witches hat sections in various positions / angles - BOTH front & rear of the firewall on top of all the "normally" recommended places

Can anyone tell me, Does it make a difference which way the witches hats go?
I seem to have not been awake or something and I have it going from top
right hand corner to the left lower corner. { / } The manual shows it going
from the top left side going down to the lower right corner.{ \ } Of course
this is looking at the firewall from the front.
Does this matter ?
Thank you all.

Hi Dave !

No problem, either way - just be sure the witches hat on
the back side goes the opposite way, making an "X" ....

And don't forget the channel that goes between the
top engine mounts, part on the front & part on the
back side of the firewall, to miss the witches hats ...
See factory "Floatfix bulletin" online ...

It's a LOT easier to install the firewall after the
hats & channels are on - it's stiffer !! :-)

Dave,
One thing you might consider is that the brake pedals come very close to the
firewall. If you are only planning to install one set of brakes this is a
good reason to have the inner/aft witches hat go top left to bottom right to
be out of the way.

It's actually better opposite to what the manual spells out. Gives you a
smooth spot now in the top right for a remote oil filter and a smooth
firewall for air flow off the oil cooler in the lower left side.

Wayne (home for one day..gone by air I hope tomorrow)
