[rebel-builders] Great Aviation Pic's !!!

Post by bransom » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:12 pm

I know the SuperCub, especially with mods, can get ridiculously slow for
landing in unimaginable places. Also, it has been said here that the Rebel
really gets most of its suspension out of the tires, as opposed to the
die-springs (or whatever legs its using). So my question is, what have
other Rebel folks done in terms of big tires and rough fields?

I remember this one (obviously, copied the picture)
http://mae.ucdavis.edu/ransom/Murphy/someday/rebel.jpg
... and IIRC maybe this is one that showed up in a follow-on picture,
upside down in a grove of trees. But besides that little detail ;) I'm
curious how many are really driving wheel-Rebels into pretty rough places,
how big are the tires recommended, and how's it going.
