I just used butyl strip caulk Ted. Very easy to remove and lesss messy
than sticky caulks.

I used something from Home Depot. You need to be sure it isn't acidic acid
based, for that will eat aluminum. Most of the water based caulk's are not
and recommended for use with aluminum siding that has the same problem.

Hi Ted !

The windshield manufacturers recommend Bostick 1100 -
it comes in caulking tubes from lumber supply places, in
several colours. It's very low tack, so easy to remove.

"Plexiglass" ??? Most use Lexan for side windows -
if you are using real plexi, be sure to drill holes oversize,
use large washers on rivets, and perhaps use ordinary
"pop" rivets, as they don't expand like Avex rivets ...
and pull gently ! Better yet, DON'T drill holes - make
up an aluminum frame to let the plexi float, like the
beautifully joggled skylight retainers....

Sorry, my mistake. Std Murphy "windows" that are probably out of Lexan.
Glass, lexan, plexiglass, saran wrap...all looks the same to me <grin>.
