The most commonly applied technique is butyl tape used for the same
purposes at windshield shops for cars. The tape is available at Napa and
the like and can be had flat or round I believe. Apply to the inside of
the windscreen and globs of it anywhere else sealing is necessary. Works
like a charm. Comes off easily when you want it too as well. Did this
last year myself.
