As far as I know the only time you have to inform them is if there's a
change to the CofA ie a different engine model or different gross weight.
After the run around I got last summer with my engine change I'd just log
what you've done and beg for forgivness if they don't like it.

Each amendment you make, as Drew has pointed out for engine/gross weight
changes, and such things as float installs...ski installs etc should be sent
into TC. Just don't be putting anything in the cover letter like "is this
okay with you". I send stuff in with a cover letter simply stating..."please
add the attached amendment to C-GDJK's file for your records". Doing stuff
like this makes life so much easier if the day comes your log books and
paperwork go AWOL. TC already has a copy of all your W & B info. Not as
critical these days with our computers holding duplicates of most
stuff...but if it wasn't for the TC duplicate files most of the stuff at the
Hamilton Aircraft Museum wouldn't be flying after their fire of yesteryear.

Minor changes? I wouldn't even bother ...doing a new W & B that is. ;O)

Thanks Wayne. If I'm not obliged to do something, you can probably guess
what I will do. "I'm from the gov't and I'm here to help you" is a
standard joke for good reasons.
