[rebel-builders] EP420/430 Primer

Garry,
Since I didn't see anyone answer your question, I'll take a stab at it.
1) It is feasible to spray the material without the reducer. I have done it. It depends
on the nozzle characteristics your useing. All the reducer does is reduce the viscosity.
2) If you can't get the E500 material, I'd try straight MEK which appears to be the
primary ingredient of E500, except I'd use a max of 30 percent instead of the 50
percent max for the E500. Of course, it's best to spray a small test sample to see
if it performs to your satisfaction.
Good Luck,

I have a quart of this stuff and on the container it says to paint with
it one should buy E500 epoxy reducer and mix 2 parts catalyzed primer to
1 part reducer.
Is it feasible to spray this material without the reducer?
If not, is there something other than E500 that can be used for the same
purpose? I have a problem right now with getting the reducer. Greyhound
is going on strike and that is the normal shipping method from Edmonton
to here for such 'hazardous materials'. ie I can't get it and the
plane is sitting there waiting for it. Always something I guess.
