[rebel-builders] Moose tailcone stringers
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:08 pm
Jack,
Several folks have come up with varying designs to reinforce the tailcone
section. All of the stringer material, with one exception, is simply either
witches "hat" or "L"-shaped aluminum. The exception is the use of wing or
rudder stringer along the very bottom of FUS-422. I have pictures I can
post (again) or email you directly; Scott Aldrich has also posted tailcone
reinforcing.
The postings you refer to back from 4/25/06 are from Bob Scheuber (I think).
He added two lines of channel that he bent in a pan-brake down the length of
his fuselage. I cc'd Bob on this email so you'll have his email if you want
to contact him directly.

Need some help,
Back on 4/25/2006 someone posted some photos in the file (107 S/M Fuselage)
concerning the use of reinforcing stringers in the tailcone. Does anyone
have info on these stringers? What supplier do they come from? What are the
cross-section dimensions and configuration ( angle or U-channel).
Thanks to anyone who can reply.
