Great stuff Eddie !!! If I can hand swing a GSO-480...don't see why nobody
has swung an M-14 before...but we sure know it can be done now!

I would have tied it to a pickup truck though!! ;O)

Wayne,

Thanks. It actually was about as easy to swing this engine as the Cessna 140 with the C85. I think the low compression and some particulars regarding the air start system are the reason.

I know I might get some "don't ever do that" replies and I understand that. It is something to keep in the back pocket though.

The pickup truck is a good idea but we have so much sand here in Florida that the front end of my Ford would have been down to the primer in a few min:)

I've hand propped a pitts model 12 with the same engine. It's pretty neat
everything kinda goes in slow motion because of the gear reduction. I
wished I was a foot taller though you gotta get real close to reach. The
rag for padding was a good idea wish I'd thought of that at the time. Tying
off to something is a real good idea it's OK to use a long rope for paint
protection.
